The Coffee Debate

I like it!

It tastes good, it’s an easily acquired addiction and I’ve heard it stunts your growth! Why would you not drink it?

What I don’t like is coffee breath, coffee stains, coffee snobs and the high acidity of coffee. Also, I dislike listening to a really good lesson on the excellencies of Christ and not being able to concentrate because of that stingy couple in front of me who skipped out during break to get a cup and didn’t even ask me if I wanted them to pick me up some! Thanks Eric and Shannon! :)

So if you have any strong or robust comments about coffee feel free to share.

It really is bad for you and addictive - can you choose one addiction over another and think that it is “better”??

What about “full-flavored” coffee comments? Wait, is that a cigarrette adjective? Well, either way, “I adject!”

I suppose if one is addicted to Jesus, that would be better than other addictions. :) I’ve pretty much given up coffee lately because caffeine is bad for your blood pressure or some other medical nonsense. Still though, coffee tastes good, and if I’m going to drink it, I might as well get the caffeine to boot (my argument against decaf).

Coffee is awesome.
And as far as addiction goes, if you mean a caffeine addiction I think coke is more dangerous because it is more accessible. If, however, you mean tastiness addiction you might be right, but I have never heard of anyone being short because of an addiction to tastiness. (Since I am not the sort of robust woman who likes to make fun of herself, you can insert your own inuendos about which direction an addiction to tastiness makes people grow…)

Anyway, you know what I always say:
Coffe is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
(And it is much less controversial than the other beverage that is customarily inserted in the aforementioned quote…)

Well as half of the stingy “Eric and Shannon” couple :) I have to at least defend myself (though I can’t take up for Eric in this case!)….. mine was hot chocolate!

I like coffee in coffee shops. I think its a good place to meet with friends. Its opened doors for great conversations. So I am for the whole coffee thing. Its better than going to a Bar or a club and its great to drink a cup at Books-A-Million while reading. I suppose its good to have a root beer float which is enjoyable as well. Needless to say I have enjoyed many conversations over coffee and made lasting freindships. Plus they make excellent creamers that is better than the coffee its self, but if your worried about addiction theres always decaf. They make mushroom coffee thats suppose to be really good for you. Ok I am not good at debates I just like Robin and we have had good talks over coffee and pizza, which is far worse than coffee.

If there’s a better way to blow $4 than a coconut latte I don’t want to know about it! Oh, and Robin, we prefer coffee connoisseur over coffee snob. :)
